The 4th edition of the Festival Sayulita: Film, Spirits, Music & Vida; will take place from February 1 – 5 at different locations within this small town located north of Puerto Vallarta, which is also known as the surfing capital of the Riviera Nayarit. The event will return to this popular boho-chic destination thanks to the success of previous editions and is expected to be attended by approximately seven thousand people.

Activities include the Jungle Live! Concert—scheduled for February 4th and featuring Mexican alternative rock band Café Tacvba and electronic music group Nortec Collective—, as well as gastronomic events, sport activities and more than 50 films and documentaries. Tickets for the Jungle Live! Concert are $490 MXN and are available here.

Here is the event’s activities program:

More information about each location is available at the event’s website.

About the event

Festival Sayulita is a non-profit initiative that aims to raise funds to create a creative center for the community of Sayulita called El Centro. Once it’s completed, this project will feature several facilities—including green spaces, amphitheater, carpentry room and arts room—and will serve as a platform for local people to create sustainable products and develop community projects.

You can read more about this venture here.

How to get there

From Puerto Vallarta, drive north along carretera 200 for approximately 45 minutes and follow the signed detour to Sayulita. If you are planning on attending the festival, we highly recommend to arrive a few hours earlier so you don’t have problems trying to find a parking space.

“Vallarta Lifestyles has readers from Punta de Mita to Mismaloya and beyond, so announcing my business, means the positioning and recognition of my agency throughout the region. The contents of the magazine are very interesting, because they provide relevant information about activities in the destination. I am pleased to see it at hotels, restaurants and galleries, but what excites me the most is to see people with their issue in hand. That is really relevant for us.”

“We started to advertise 7 or 8 years ago and certainly it has helped us position our brand. Now that we have improved a lot in quality, processes and finished products, our marketing in the magazine is precisely to strengthen the leadership we have earned through the 13 years in the area. I also think that we also have grown with the advertisement and that it has been done and it has helped us get to where we are now.”

“We have been advertising in Vallarta Lifestyles since the opening of our restaurant, and since then, we have kept a strong relationship. Due to its scope and distribution, the campaigns that we advertised regarding our different culinary projects have always been a success. This magazine has been consolidated as a benchmark that promotes the beauty of our destination in a creative and effective way.”
