Pride Vallarta: One Hundred Reasons to Celebrate!

The annual LGBT festival Pride Vallarta has already begun with a fun series of mostly free activities and paying tribute to the 100th anniversary of Puerto Vallarta as a municipality. Under the slogan “One hundred reasons to celebrate”, it promises to be a very exciting sixth edition. Founded in 2003 by the local business association ACT LGBT, Pride Vallarta has positioned itself as one of the most appealing LGBT festivals in Western Mexico.

Thursday, May 24

• Pride Vallarta Parade

Starting at 7:00pm at the Sheraton Buganvilias Resort and Convention Center and moving to El Malecón and Lázaro Cárdenas street.

• Block Party

Some of the best LGBT bars of the city will host the annual giant street party on Lázaro Cardenas street right after the festival’s parade.

Friday, May 25

• Drag Derby

High-heels drag race taking place on Púlpito street (Romantic Zone) starting at 5:00.

• Official Women’s Party by Pink&Proud

El Soñador rooftop bar at 9:00pm

Entrance fee: $100 pesos

• The Big Top Party

The Top Sky Bar (Amapas 380) at 9:00pm

• Lorena Herrera Live!

Concert by the Mexican singer and festival’s Grand Marshal at Teatro Vallarta starting at 10:00pm.

Saturday, May 26

An event organized by SETAC, Puerto Vallarta’s LGBTQ Community Center. Starting at 4:00pm at Miguel Hidalgo Park.

• One Hundred Reasons to Celebrate Fair

Lázaro Cárdenas park from 6:00pm to 10:00 pm.
