OPC Holds the Exhibition “Panóptico” by Artist Joao Rodríguez
On November 6th, 2021, the contemporary art exhibition called “Panóptico, caminar en círculos” (Panopticon, walking in circles) presented by the artist Joao Rodríguez was inaugurated at the Oficina de Proyectos Culturales (Juárez 598, El Centro).
This project is composed of painting and graphics, where each of the pieces is the result of an action.
With a considerable reduction of plastic materials, this series is worked in black and white to give a main element value to the line and drawing.
In addition, this exhibition consists of ceramic and acrylic work on canvas, as well as a mural that emerges from the work “Walking in circles”.
This exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Culture of Jalisco, Cultura Jalisco, PAçTO Proyectos de Arte Contemporáneo and Estudio Joao Rodríguez.
Joao Rodríguez
A visual artist and cultural manager born in Empalme, Sonora in 1974. He currently lives in Guadalajara, Jalisco, where he is director and founder of PAçTO Proyectos de Arte Contemporáneo.
