At the end of 2016, some of the most important young muralists in the country arrived in Puerto Vallarta as part of the initiative Restore Coral Mural Project (restorecoral.org), an endeavor that emerged in the Mexican Caribbean and aims to raise awareness about conservation of the reefs through images displayed on the city’s walls.

As part of this project, on the corner of Venezuela and Peru streets, there is a mural by Frase SF Honghikuri (@fraseonesf), an artist from Guadalajara, who is also the art director and cultural manager of this initiative that led to the conception of almost a dozen works in different parts of the city.
