Colomitos Beach: To Earn a Refreshing Reward
There are two routes to reach this little hidden treasure in Cabo Corrientes (south of Puerto Vallarta): the first and simplest is by sea, either from the comfort of a boat when sailing from any of our destination’s world-class marinas or via a water taxi that leaves from Los Muertos Pier. The second and more challenging, but at the same time satisfying, is to take a hike of just under a mile from Boca de Tomatlán.
If you opt for the latter, along the way you will find a well-marked route with different rustic signs that serve to indicate you are on the right path, as you will go up and down small steps, as well as uneven sections that go through the thick jungle vegetation. Since this is a route that involves more physical effort, it is advisable to wear light clothing and tennis shoes for comfort, in addition to carrying basic items in a backpack, which may include a light towel, change of clothes, drinks and snacks.
Along the way, there are several rest areas the surrounding inhabitants have set up with natural materials, which you can use to sit and appreciate the beautiful landscape that stretches toward the bay.
Once you arrive at this small spot, as a reward for your great effort, a spectacular beach of soft white sand with beautiful crystalline waters and small waves will be waiting for you, motivating you to take a refreshing dip while you rest and relax in this paradise.
