Essentials of Our Destination: Water Taxi Trip to the South Shore

Traveling by water taxi to Vallarta · Nayarit’s South Shore is a must. It involves a ride in a panga (outboard motorboat) to reach some of the coastal towns in this area that, due to their location, jungle vegetation and rough routes, are mainly accessed by sea.

Seventy years ago, Puerto Vallarta was a small fishing village, so it was common to see fishermen going out to sea aboard their pangas.
