Isla del Coral: To Have an Extraordinary Adventure with Children

Located north of Banderas Bay, just a mile and a quarter from the coast of Rincón de Guayabitos, Nayarit, is Isla del Coral, a Riviera Nayarit oasis of white sand, crystal-clear blue waters and coral reefs, which is distinguished by its small beach framed by cliffs full of tropical vegetation.

With very small waves, this protected nature reserve is ideal for a getaway with the little ones, as the adventure begins when you board a water taxi or panga, which first travels to some of the nearby islets to appreciate their attractive fauna. Finally, you will arrive at this island’s small dock, where you can see a paradise that protects a great and valuable diversity of marine flora and fauna. All these features together make it a unique place to enjoy a splendid day with the family.

The rocky formation of the beach makes its waters a natural aquarium, perfect for snorkeling. In fact, for the more experienced, just a few yards in you can see the underwater statue of the Miraculous Virgin of the Immaculate Conception, considered to be the protector of fishermen, visitors and seafarers in the area.

In addition to its incredible natural charm, Isla del Coral offers some basic services, such as security and a restaurant serving specialties prepared with fresh seafood. However, it is recommended to bring water, snacks and light food to fully enjoy this natural beauty that will surprise young and old alike. Be sure to take your waterproof camera with you!
