The Scenic Eclipse Cruise Ship Arrives in Puerto Vallarta
This morning, our destination welcomed the Scenic Eclipse, a top-luxury cruise ship with max passenger capacity 228 (plus 176 staff-crew). This 114-cabin superyacht arrived in the Terminal 1 of the Administración del Sistema Portuario Nacional (ASIPONA) Puerto Vallarta.
The Scenic Eclipse design features an ice-strengthened hull, top-deck helipad (with two on-deck stored helicopters/in hangars), 12x Zodiacs (high-speed, large-capacity RIBs/rigid inflatable boats), 1x mini-sub (7-person submarine), and 1x ROV (camera-equipped Remotely Operated Vehicle).
The aft-located marina platform is used for launching water sports equipment (aqua quad-bikes, seakayaks, paddleboards, snorkeling and scuba diving activities).
Antarctica, Arctic, Mediterranean, Western Europe, Central America, North America and South America cruises, as well as Siberia/Russian Arctic and Japan are just some of the destinations this luxury ship visits.
Built in 2019 by Croatan company Uljanik Shipyard, the Scenic Eclipse had a building cost of 230,000,000 USD. It features a length of 551 feet, a beam of 72 feet, and 17,085 gross tonnages. The vessel us owned by Scenic Group, was designed by the Spanish firm Oliver Design and is operated by Scenic Yacht Cruises.
The Scenic Eclipse is considered the most sophisticated luxury cruise ship in the world.
