Puerto Vallarta Receives Four Travvy Award Nominations

Puerto Vallarta’s Tourism Board is proud to announce that Puerto Vallarta has been nominated for four 2017 Travvy Awards, the most nominees given to a Mexican destination at this year’s event.

Puerto Vallarta has been recognized under Best City Destination – Mexico, Best Culinary Destination – Mexico, Best Family Destination – International, and Best LGBTQ Destination – International. The Travvy Awards, held every January in New York City, are known as the Academy Awards of the travel industry and recognize the highest standards of excellence in the travel industry and honor travel companies, travel products, travel agencies, and destinations for their outstanding achievement.

Travel suppliers, destinations and individuals from all over the world are eligible to vote for the nominees. Last year, nearly 40,000 travel professionals voted on their favorites which determined the 2016 Travvy Awards winners.  These winners were honored during an awards dinner and presentation attended by the finalists, industry leaders and travel professionals.

Puerto Vallarta, one of Mexico’s top tourism destination, is known for its 100-year-old historic center, the heart of the destination, where the skirt of the Sierra Madre Mountains meets the waves of the Bay of Banderas. The city is alive with authentic culture, art, nightlife and a range of award-winning traditional and international restaurants.
