Recently, the Vallarta Lifestyles editorial staff heard about Agua de Luna · Design Hotel, a retreat located in San Pancho, Nayarit, which opened its doors in August 2020 and is starting to get local attention due to its elegant spaces and setting that offers simplistic, beach-resort style luxury. For all its characteristics, it is ideal for those looking for a relaxed accommodation or simply for those who want a perfect hideaway to rest and revitalize.

Motivated by the opportunity to meet it, we visited Agua de Luna · Design Hotel to discover its concept and main amenities.

At Agua de Luna · Design Hotel guests will have a relaxing experience. This charming hotel, located in Riviera Nayarit, has 15 unique artisanal suites, which are distributed between the ground floor and two levels, with a spectacular rooftop on the third floor.

This hotel belongs to a young family from Guadalajara, who continually came to San Pancho on vacation. With the idea of having a place to arrive each time, they began with the construction of a house that later evolved into what is now Agua de Luna · Design Hotel.

Its concept is exclusively for adults (+16) and offers 15 artisanal suites beautifully decorated and tailored to the needs of travel savvy guests. Its design (achieved with a careful selection of pillows, patterned rugs, woven baskets, cozy neutral colors and beautiful macramés) will infuse a stay with a high dose of earthy bohemian minimalism.

Among the main amenities of Agua de Luna · Design Hotel are the rooftop (with two jacuzzis with heated water, lounges and a common kitchen), work station, heated swimming pool and a bistro called Café Amaryya, where they offer everything from smoothies and teas to artisan breads brought from Sayulita.

All the artisanal suites are named after natural elements that exist in the area (Earth, Sand, Rain, Pelicans, Breeze, Coral, Beach, Mangrove, Tropic, Water, Coconuts, Lighthouse, Palm Trees, Coast and Moon) and they feature air conditioning, ceiling fans, minibar, hairdryer and smart TV with Roku. They have a capacity for two to four people.

This small hotel, which has its own parking and Wi-Fi available throughout the property, is located just four blocks from the beach and two blocks from the town’s main street, where you can enjoy an exquisite variety of restaurants and visit both galleries and boutiques.
