Best Place to Buy (and Enjoy)
Demi Moore, Bill Clinton and Sadam Hussein would all feel at home here, enjoying Puerto Vallarta’s incredible selection. At La Casa del Habano (Aldama 170, El Centro) the walk-in cedar humidor comfortably holds over 100 boxes with 25 different brands of Cuban cigars. Or visit the Cigar Factory & Cantina (Libertad 100-3, El Centro) and watch skilled artisans from San Andrés Tuxtla, Veracruz, one of Mexico’s primary tobacco producing regions, carry on the time-honored tradition of hand-rolling cigars. With a variety of Mexican tobaccos to choose from, these are smoother and milder than their Cuban counterparts.
But perhaps the better deal is to stop by any of No Name Boutique’s three locations, where, aside from an excellent variety of Cuban cigars you will also find a several lines of linen apparel for men and women, along with an assortment of bathing suits and accessories. Their Plaza Peninsula location features a sizable humidor featuring exotic Cuban brands, not to mention accessories for cigar aficionados.
