The Riviera Nayarit Conventions and Visitors Bureau has announced several charity events taking place this month, which will support a variety of local nonprofit organizations and causes.

Saturday, November 12 • Rotary Wine & Art

This event is organized by the Banderas Bay Rotary Club in support of the Casa de Bucerías Tercera Edad—a senior support and assisted living center—and will feature art, wine, appetizers, fine jewelry and live music. It will take place at the Nuevo Vallarta Plaza Business Center and there is a $200 MXN donation requested.

Sunday, November 20 • Sunday With a Cause

The Punta de Mita Foundation organizes this annual fundraiser event in collaboration with the Punta Mita development, the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita and The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort.

Sunday with a cause comprises the Punta Mita Charity Golf Classic (starting at 9 am) and the Flavors of Punta Mita culinary fest (starting at 6 pm). The former will take place on the Bahía Golf Course within the Four Seasons Resort and has a $200 USD player donation, while the latter will be held in the Altamira Lobby at the St. Regis and has a $70 USD donation fee.

40% of the proceeds will be donated to the Punta de Mita Foundation, 40% will go to Peace Punta de Mita and the remaining 20% will be earmarked for the next Conservation Fund.

Saturday, December 10 • Collection and Dog and Cat Adoption Campaign

The Dogs for Life Association and the Samba Vallarta Hotel will host the first edition of this event that will encourage the adoption of pets, as well as donation of food, medicine, clothing and toys for these shelter animals. Adoptions will incur a minimum recovery fee.
