Cinéma DiVa Puerto Vallarta-Montreal Festival Presented

From December 10th to 14th, 2022, our destination will host the 8th edition of the Cinéma DiVa Puerto Vallarta-Montreal Festival.

During this important film festival, 42 productions will be screened, including feature and short films, mostly from Mexico, as well as Canada, Iran, Japan, New Zealand, France and Argentina.

This 2022, the Cinéma DiVa Festival will have a great opening film: The Breach, directed by Mexican-Canadian Rodrigo Gudiño and produced by Slash, renowned guitarist of Guns N’ Roses. Starring this feature film is actor Allan Hawco, who gained great popularity for the The Frontier show.

The opening short film is The Unholy Blessed and will be presented by its director Mino Rimada, who will come to Puerto Vallarta from Torreón, Coahuila, to present his new project.

This edition will bring personalities of the film industry, among them Rodrigo Gudiño, Mino Rimada, Rodolfo Sada, Iván Carrum, Digcy Mejías, Areli Rojas, Angelo Fernández and Juan Frausto.

Our destination will also have an excellent representation with Vallarta filmmakers Arturo Montero, Sebastián Hernández and Diego Ruvalcaba.

The Instituto Vallartense de Cultura will host the Opening Gala of the Cinéma DiVA Festival on December 10th at 8:00pm.

Throughout the years, Cinéma DiVa has positioned itself as a festival of great national and international reference. It is supported by the Instituto Vallartense de Cultura, the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board, the Puerto Vallarta Municipal Government and the Asociación Vallarta Centro.
