Would you turn down the opportunity to attend a circus school founded by one of the original founders of the renowned Cirque du Soleil? Or the opportunity to enjoy a one-of-a-kind circus show created with the principles and guidance that has made the company famous worldwide?
A largely-unknown miracle has been taking place in San Pancho, Riviera Nayarit over the past few years, through Circo de los Niños, a circus arts program serving over 150 young children from San Pancho and surrounding areas, under the artistic direction of Cirque du Soleil co-creator, Gilles Ste Croix, along with his wife, Monique Voyer.
Their goal has been to encourage the holistic development of young people by improving their artistic, creative, motor and communication skills as well as strengthening their confidence in taking risks in a secure and safe environment. Through regular training, local children acquire these skills without disregard of their school duties and responsibilities.
Circo de los Niños’ annual fundraising effort is a series of performances for which local and international Cirque talent is brought in to put together a show equally unforgettable for those that participate in it, and those among the audience.
This year’s show is called Camino de Hazaña, or “Path to Great Achievement,” and it will be presented in San Pancho on March 16, 17, 18 and 19 at 8 pm. Tickets are selling fast and advance purchases are strongly recommended.
Tickets can be purchased online by clicking on this link. You can also visit the school and purchase directly, Monday-Friday, 3-7 pm. The school is located at Tercer Mundo #15 (San Pancho’s main entrance).
