Circo de los Niños Instructors Present Madrugada
Madrugada (Dawn) is the name of the theatrical circus show that will be performed by the instructors of El Circo de los Niños this coming Saturday, June 4, at 8:30 pm at the Bodega Circo/Danza in San Pancho, a small beach town located less than one hour north in Riviera Nayarit.
The event will be a one-of-a-kind opportunity to see the talent and motor skills of the professionals who share their expertise on a daily basis with the students of the non-profit organization—mostly San Pancho children and young adults—that encourages the development of young adults by improving their artistic skills. For those who have attended an event by El Circo de los Niños, Madrugada will allow them to experience an original show presented by the gifted artists behind the performances they’ve seen before. And for first-timers, it is an excellent opportunity to get a taste of the unexpectedly diverse cultural development the town has been experiencing in recent years.
The original idea of Madrugada was conceived by Gilles Ste Croix, founder of Circo de los Niños and co-creator of the internationally renowned Cirque Du Soleil. The show is directed by Ariel Sainz, who will also be performing on stage along with circo instructors Alberto Vallin, Ita Barona, Jorge Diaz, Sarah Kamishine and Miriam Segoviano. The event is open to the public but a worthy 100 pesos donation is suggested in order to contribute supporting the community performance space and its programs.
El Circo de los Niños is a project that began in 2011 as a two-week circus art workshop and evolved to become a holistic entertainment program with a focus on empowerment at the human level, offering all the circus disciplines and other performing arts to more than 100 children and young adults. More information about El Circo de los Niños and the event can be found at http://circodelosninosdesanpancho.mx/es.
San Pancho—also known as San Francisco—is located approximately 45 min. away from Puerto Vallarta by car, driving north along Carr. 200. The Bodega Circo/Danza is situated at 15 Tercer Mundo Avenue.
