Through donations and community service in favor of the Vallarta Food Bank, the real estate agency Elengorn Realtors shows its support to families affected by the current health contingency.

Sarah Elengorn, director of Elengorn Realtors, shares that she and her staff started to support the associations with donations in mid March, 2020. “Something that caught our attention was its efficient system of selection, which consists in receiving the families’ registrations at the Vallarta Food Bank headquarters (Río de la Plata 379, López Mateos), where they are carefully evaluated. If they qualify, these people will be benefited with food provisions for five weeks. After that time if they still have needs, they will be able to sign for this program again and/or apply for the government support,” she explains.

After a visit to the food bank’s headquarters, Elengorn and some of his collaborators realized that, although the food collected was many, few people did the work of packing it. For this reason, they decided to commit to the cause and, since April 2020, they began volunteering two days a week to pack and distribute more than 450 bags of food to different neighborhoods in Puerto Vallarta.

Elengorn Realtors extends the invitation to other companies and residents of the destination to carry out community work, either through donations or collaborations: “The system that Vallarta Food Bank has in place works very well and the benefit really reaches those who need it. Besides, this project is made up of volunteers, so it would be excellent if more and more people join this and other initiatives. Being part of this community, we have a social responsibility to seek the benefit and well-being of all”, she concludes.

“Vallarta Lifestyles has helped us a lot to position our business, the fact that people see us in the magazine has contributed their coming back to Faith Colectiva. Actually, we have measured the reach of our advertising by offering a free gift and it is unbelievable to see them coming with the issue.”

“One of the biggest benefits of advertising in Vallarta Lifestyles is that a lot of readers keep it as a bible. People have arrived to our gallery looking for the pieces that are in the advertisements published 5 or 6 years ago, and that’s really valuable for us. Besides being an excellent magazine where is possible to find the newest in the destination, it is a publication dedicated to the public we want to reach and keep.”
