Discover Gabriela Epstein’s Artistic Work at Galeria Contempo

Galeria Contempo has announced the opening reception for talented Mexico City artist Gabriela Epstein, to take place this coming Friday, January 13, at the venue located on Basilio Badillo street in colonia Emiliano Zapata.

Gabriela Epstein’s work features gentle, layered brushwork that creates a soothing atmosphere perfect for viewer’s contemplation.

Drawing inspiration from her native Mexico, the importance of color stands out in her style; which in concert with concise line-work, results in saturated paintings with a sense of emotion and drama.  She has a magnificent knowledge of composition as well, often working in diptychs and triptychs, Epstein’s work is easily recognizable for her flexible, geometric configurations. Her work is a space where shapes call on each other.

Born in Mexico City, Epstein developed a liking to plastic arts since early age and always showed a talent for it. She took various painting classes, even though her development as an artist has not been purely academic, but autonomous and independent. Her artistic inspiration comes directly from life events:

“Everything I know, do or express in a canvas is a result of my own personal experience,” Epstein explains.

Gabriela Epstein has educated others in the arts for the last ten years. Sharing her ideas about painting while learning from others’ perspectives has been a very positive influence in her artistic life.

Galeria Contempo encourages you to meet  Gabriela Epstein at an opening cocktail reception to be held on Friday, January 13th, from 6:00pm – 10:00pm. This two-story gallery is located at Basilio Badillo 252 in colonia Emiliano Zapata.
