Enjoy the Nautical Events that Vallarta · Nayarit Has for You

During the month of March, two of the most expected nautical events will take place in Vallarta · Nayarit: the 15º Regata Internacional WesMex and the 44º Regata MEXORC.

Here is the program of booth tournaments.

15º Regata Internacional WesMex

Organized by Vallarta Yacht Club and endorsed by institutions such as Mexican Sail Federation, Optimist Mexico Class Association (AMVCO), México Laser Class Association and the Club 420 Class; this regatta is one of the main four of the Mexican Sail Circuit, where the best Mexican sailors participate to represent their country in international competitions.

The competitions will begin at Paradise Village hotel (Paseo de Los Cocoteros 1, Nuevo Vallarta) and it is estimated that this tournament gathers more than 200 national and international contestants.

Thursday March 5th

Saturday March 7th
12:00pm – Second Day of Regatta

12:00pm – Last Day of Regatta
7:30pm – Award Ceremony at Paradise Village hotel

44º Regata MEXORC

Emerged as an initiative by a group of Mexican sailors interested in preserving the tradition of the San Diego-Acapulco Regatta, the Mexican Circuit of Oceanic Regattas (MEXORC) is currently organized by its president Ernesto Amtmann, as well as Laura Neale, director of operations; Javier Fernández, director of logistics and various members that are part of the committee.

This event will be held at the facilities of Marina Vallarta BVG (Av. Paseo de La Marina 625, Marina Vallarta), where participants can compete to obtain the Puerto Vallarta Cup, 18 nautical miles; the Islas Marietas Regatta Cup, 25 nautical miles and the Grand Finale Cup, more than 25 nautical miles.

Sunday March 15th
1:00pm – 2º Regatta (B Series ) and 3º Regatta (B Series)
5:00pm a 7:30pm – Cocktail and Award Villa MEXORC

Monday March 16th
12:30pm – 4º Regata | Islas Marietas Regatta Cup

Tuesday March 17th
1:00pm – 5º Regata (Series B) y 6º Regata (Series B)
5:00pm a 7:30pm – Coctel and Award Villa MEXORC

Wednesday March 18th
1:00pm – 7º Regata | Grand Finale Cup
7:00pm – Award Ceremony and Gala Diner (place to be determined)
