Firewood-Roasted Shrimp by Le Kliff
“In addition to the typical Mexican ingredients with which the Firewood-Roasted Shrimp is prepared, this dish stands out for the roasted flavors in combination with exotic elements that give it an elegant and distinctive presence.” —Everardo Robles, executive chef of Le Kliff.
At the far southern end of Puerto Vallarta is Le Kliff (Carretera a Barra de Navidad KM 17.5, Zona Hotelera Sur), a restaurant located atop a cliff, surrounded by vegetation and with incomparable views toward the sea. It is one of the most romantic places in the destination to dine as a couple. It also stands out for its famous Terrace of Love, where several lovers have carried out original marriage proposals and weddings, inspired by this idyllic environment where the relaxing sound of the waves combines with the impressive sunsets.
In addition to its enviable location, it offers an interesting gastronomic offering of tropical-fusion-international cuisine, where the Firewood-Roasted Shrimp stands out, a dish that combines a variety of ingredients including mole poblano sauce, roasted plantain, toasted grasshoppers, smoked mashed potatoes, roast baby corn and cuastecomate sauce with chocolate and cinnamon notes. This exquisite combination of smoked flavors can be accompanied with an Asti Capetta sparkling wine or with a Chile Ancho Martini, made with a macerated chile ancho from Puebla, cranberry juice, sugar and lemon.
Le Kliff, also offers an impressive terrace with a table for two, where diners, besides being able to appreciate Banderas Bay in all its splendor (from Los Arcos de Mismaloya to Punta de Mita), will be able to enjoy a seven-course menu created specifically for the celebration.
