Galerías Vallarta will host the exhibition “Cantos de la selva” (Chants of the jungle) by bolivian painter José Moreno Aparicio from March 18 to April 4.

The opening reception will take place at the shopping center on Friday, March 18, at 7 pm. The artist will be joined by the Mayor of Puerto Vallarta, Ing. Arturo Dávalos López; the Director of Puerto Vallarta’s Department of Culture, Fernando Sánchez; and the Tourism Assistant Director, Gabriel González Mora, for the ribbon cutting. The event is free to the public.

The works of Moreno Aparicio reflect the Latin America flora and fauna, including portraits, landscapes and abstract paintings.

The painter, who also owns a gallery in Nuevo Vallarta, expressed his enthusiasm for this exhibition and his commitment to Puerto Vallarta, which considers has it all to become “the next cultural destination of the coast of Mexico.”

Moreno Aparicio was born in a small town called Riberalta – Beni at the bolivian amazon region but has resided in México for the past 20 years. Since 1975 his artwork has been shown in more than 300 exhibitions in countries such as United States, France, Spain, Mexico and, of course, Bolivia. Among other accolades, the Mexico’s National Lottery acknowledged his work from 1994 to 1996 by displaying 4 of his paintings on the lottery tickets.

You can find more information about the artist’s work by visiting his website www.josemorenoaparicio.com

Galerías Vallarta is located at 2929 on Francisco Medina Asencio Avenue, in front of Marina Vallarta Maritime Terminal. For more information about the shopping mall and upcoming events click here

“Vallarta Lifestyles is very helpful for someone who arrives for the first time to the destination, because through its content one can discover really nice places to visit. Besides, it is a guide for us as residents, because we know from a good source the new things we can do. People take the magazine and in one place they find hotels, restaurants, galleries, real estate and other featured services.”

“Vallarta Lifestyles speaks for itself, it’s a good quality publication with great image, that’s why we have advertised since we started our business. Without any doubt, it is the most read magazine. Its articles and advertising are target to the audience we’re looking for. Vallarta Lifestyles has grown the same way Puerto Vallarta has.”

“Vallarta Lifestyles has readers from Punta de Mita to Mismaloya and beyond, so announcing my business, means the positioning and recognition of my agency throughout the region. The contents of the magazine are very interesting, because they provide relevant information about activities in the destination. I am pleased to see it at hotels, restaurants and galleries, but what excites me the most is to see people with their issue in hand. That is really relevant for us.”
