High-Level Events in Riviera Nayarit: A Weekend of Adventure and Elegance

Riviera Nayarit takes pride in having hosted two high-level events that, in addition to attracting visitors from all over the world, helped to highlight the region’s cultural and natural richness. These events were the Festival del Viento and the IX Copa de Polo Riviera Nayarit.

Festival del Viento in Bucerías

From May 17 to 19, 2024, the beach of Bucerías became the epicenter of kitesurfing with the acclaimed Festival del Viento. More than 300 elite athletes and kitesurfing enthusiasts gathered in this beautiful destination, known for its ideal wind and wave conditions. The festival included exciting competitions in the categories of Downwind, Long Distance, Big Air, Foil Regatta, and Freestyle, challenging participants in an adrenaline-filled course from La Cruz de Huanacaxtle to Bucerías.

IX Copa de Polo Riviera Nayarit in San Pancho

From May 16 to 18, 2024, the prestigious Tierra Tropical Polo Club, located in San Pancho, was the venue for the IX Copa de Polo Riviera Nayarit. This year, the tournament featured prominent teams such as Tierra Tropical Polo Team, Mexico Polo Life-San Acasio Polo Team, and La Perla Polo Team. This cup not only offered exciting sports matches but also a celebration of equestrian tradition and sophistication.
