The prestigious Omni Hotels & Resorts group has begun construction of its first luxury hotel in Mexico, located in the exclusive area of Punta de Mita in Riviera Nayarit.

Scheduled to open in 2026, the Omni Pontoque Resort will offer its guests 244 rooms and two private four-bedroom villas with breathtaking views of Banderas Bay.

With an architectural design that combines stone, wood, and metals, the resort will capture the essence of a modern beach house, blending harmoniously with its natural surroundings.

“Omni Pontoque Resort will offer unique experiences, fully embracing the rich cultural heritage of Mexico.” —Kurt Alexander, president of Omni Hotels & Resorts.

Riviera Nayarit continues to position itself as a luxury destination, with investments that will transform its tourism offerings. By 2027, the opening of 14 new hotels is projected.
