Matanchén Pier: A San Blas Symbol
Located in Riviera Nayarit, specifically at the San Blas town, the Muelle de Matanchén (Matanchén Pier) has become one of the symbols of this Mexican Pacific region.
The Matanchén Pier is composed of more than 650 feet long and there are several semi-roofed benches that can be used to sit and enjoy the view toward the impressive beach that this Riviera Nayarit micro-destination has to offer.
This work was completed in 2016 and, despite the fact that only a few years have passed since then, it is currently an attraction in San Blas.
This beautiful pier does not receive any boats, it is used merely for recreational purposes, so both residents and visitors can have a good time.
In the afternoons, the pier takes on another facet that allows you to enjoy the sea breeze, while the horizon offers one of the spectacular sunsets that characterize this place full of history and legends.
At the end of the Matanchén Pier there is a statue dedicated to the “Loca de San Blas” (Madwoman of San Blas), a story that we will share in a later article.
