Abelardo Favela’s 2017 paintings will arrive soon to Galería Contempo! Meet and greet the creator of all these scenes of joy, humor and beauty this coming Friday, December 29th, from 6:00 – 10:00pm at Basilio Badillo 252, in the Romantic Zone.

Favela is originally from Mexicali and resides in Cuernavaca, Mexico. He’s had more than 25 important solo exhibitions, including one at the José Luis Cuevas Contemporary Art Museum (Mexico City, 2006) and the Art’s Chapel (Puebla, 2014). Over his career, he’s done more than 500 oil paintings and 300 drawings.

Favela paints with so much joy, poetry and beauty; it gives one a sense of complete amazement, along with his very subtle sense of humor.
