Nayarit Wind Festival 2025: Adrenaline and Color in Banderas Bay

From May 16th to 18th, 2025, Banderas Bay will be filled with color, speed, and excitement with the Nayarit Wind Festival, the largest kiteboarding event in the Americas.

The venue will be the spectacular beach located between Bucerías and La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, a privileged spot renowned for its ideal conditions for this vibrant water sport.

Organized by the Government of the State of Nayarit and Sabino MX Producciones, this festival will bring together 400 athletes from more than 10 countries, who will showcase their skills in front of thousands of spectators. For three days, the sea and the sky will be the stage for electrifying competitions and unforgettable moments.

The event will feature five thrilling categories:
Freestyle
Where creativity defies gravity.

Downwind
A demanding endurance test along the coast.

Slalom
In which speed between buoys keeps everyone on the edge of their seat.

Big Air
With breathtaking, vertiginous jumps.

Foil Race
A futuristic discipline where boards appear to float above the water.

Beyond the competition, the Wind Festival has established itself as a visual and cultural experience. The display of multicolored kites over the Mexican Pacific, framed by the festive atmosphere and the natural beauty of Riviera Nayarit, makes this event an unmissable occasion for residents and visitors alike.
