Office for Cultural Projects Celebrates 2nd Anniversary
The Office of Cultural Projects (OPC by its acronym in Spanish) celebrates its second anniversary with an exhibition titled “You Are Here: Urban Approximations,” which presents a series of architectural proposals for Puerto Vallarta volunteered by architects and urban planners in relationship with infrastructure mobility, real estate developments, public space, environmental conservation, preservation of historical heritage, water management and local identity. The exhibition is an open invitation to see Puerto Vallarta not as it is, but as it could become.
Every year, the OPC organizes an exhibition in order to commemorate the anniversary of the city and “You Are Here” celebrates the 98 year of Puerto Vallarta as a municipality, the perfect occasion to discuss the urban possibilities of the present and future.
The interesting exhibition has been possible thanks to the collaboration of the team of the OPC and the curatorial efforts by the renowned architect Oscar Moran Guillén, founder of the Architecture and Planning Studio RH+OM and an active member of various non-governmental organizations. Among the participating local architects are Ana Olivera, Alfonso Baños, Jorge Ramírez, Alberto Reyes and Leonardo Díaz, joining national stature professionals Javier Sánchez, Mauricio Rocha, Alejandro Zohn and Ricardo Agraz.
“You Are Here” will be on display at the OPC until July 30, and more information about the venue can be found at its Facebook Page.
