Galería Contempo will host watercolor painter Oscar Giacinti’s opening reception this coming Friday, March 8, from 6:00pm – 10:00pm. This is a perfect opportunity to meet the Mexican artists and admire the complexity of his work.

Born in the state of Aguascalientes, Oscar graduated in Architecture from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education in 1989. In the late 90s, he learned arts and culture from master Benjamín Manzo Hernández and soon after became a lecturer at the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes. From 2004 – 2010, he served as Director of Museums and Galleries for the state government. He’s also been a member of the Municipal Council for the Culture and Arts and the organizer of the Casa Terán Annual Auction.

In 2002, Giacinti was appointed one of the best 23 watercolor painters in the world by the book “Still Life Watercolor”, issued by the English publishing company AVA. The artist has exhibited in many cities in Mexico and the United States. Check out some of his paintings by clicking here.

For more information about the artist’s opening reception, call Galería Contempo at (322) 223-1925 or visit the website galeriacontempo.com. The venue is located on the corner of Basilio Badillo and Ignacio L. Vallarta, in the Romantic Zone.

“Vallarta Lifestyles is very helpful for someone who arrives for the first time to the destination, because through its content one can discover really nice places to visit. Besides, it is a guide for us as residents, because we know from a good source the new things we can do. People take the magazine and in one place they find hotels, restaurants, galleries, real estate and other featured services.”

“Vallarta Lifestyles has readers from Punta de Mita to Mismaloya and beyond, so announcing my business, means the positioning and recognition of my agency throughout the region. The contents of the magazine are very interesting, because they provide relevant information about activities in the destination. I am pleased to see it at hotels, restaurants and galleries, but what excites me the most is to see people with their issue in hand. That is really relevant for us.”

“We have been advertising in Vallarta Lifestyles since the opening of our restaurant, and since then, we have kept a strong relationship. Due to its scope and distribution, the campaigns that we advertised regarding our different culinary projects have always been a success. This magazine has been consolidated as a benchmark that promotes the beauty of our destination in a creative and effective way.”
