Passenger Traffic Increases at PV Airport
Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) announced preliminary passenger traffic results for January 2023, where its 12 airports registered an average increase of 33.1 percent (compared to the same period in 2022).
For its part, the Puerto Vallarta International Airport registered a 46.5 percent growth. Los Cabos (39.2 percent), Guadalajara (31.7 percent) and Tijuana (20.1 percent) airports followed.
GAP registered an increase of 28.4 percent in domestic traffic (the highest increase since March 2022), while international traffic, which rose 38.8 percent, was the highest since last April.
Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico announced is planning to allocate 10.2 billion pesos to the investments committed to the airports in the Master Development Plan.
On the other hand, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico projected this year the passenger traffic will grow between 6 and 8 percent (compared to 2022) at its air terminals.
The passenger traffic projection is based on the consolidation of routes developed to date, as well as on the increase in occupancy factors and the increase in frequencies and seat capacity of the airlines known to date.
