The exquisite taste present in every corner of Hacienda San Ángel is conveyed to its kitchen, and a clear example of its elegant and delicate international culinary concept is the exquisite Pavlova cake.

Undoubtedly, there are many corners of the Hacienda San Ángel boutique hotel that inspire its guests. The impressive property is located in the area known as Gringo Gulch, which maintains the charm of Old Vallarta. Its interior is quite revealing, as it combines local architecture, traditional furniture, luxury and religious art. It is a place that receives a select clientele and, therefore, its restaurant presents equally captivating cuisine.

Its dessert menu includes a delicious cake, whose origin goes back to the decade of the 1920s, in honor of Anna Pavlova, principal dancer of the Imperial Russian Ballet. It is a dish typical of Australia and New Zealand, nations that have been debating its creation throughout the years (although the most accepted version is that a New Zealand chef improvised the recipe for the artist during a tour in the Oceanic country). The Pavlova is made with meringue and whipped cream, has a crunchy crust and is covered with red fruits.

Only some restaurants in Puerto Vallarta offer this cake due to its exacting preparation. And the concept of this establishment is precisely to provide diners a unique culinary experience. Its flavors and the beautiful view from the terrace toward the Romantic Zone combine to achieve this goal.

“Vallarta Lifestyles is the number one magazine of its type in Vallarta · Nayarit. We were the first ones to advertise, because we saw it as an ideal platform to show our properties. The result? For a long time it has generated an extraordinary quantity of clients. Now in addition to that, it contributes to the positioning of our brand.”

“Vallarta Lifestyles, from its inception has been a quality reference. In some way, it has managed to consolidate the destination because all our restaurants where there and we communicate as an exchange platform. The benefit, besides advertisement and recommendation, is that this publication is a solid copy of Puerto Vallarta’s evolution. If you pick up an old issue, immediately you’ll recall precious memories.”

“When I first opened my gallery in 1986, my relationship with Vallarta Lifestyles started for the need of people to know me and, because it is one of the very few quality publications in the destination, I decided to advertise in it. There are clients that still remember me for the magazine, with whom I have had several years of relationship.”
