Presenting Retrovisor: An Exhibit of Outstanding Cultural Events in Puerto Vallarta
The Oficina de Proyectos Culturales (OPC), the Los Mangos Library and the Centro Universitario de la Costa (CUC) present “Retrovisor: La historia puede verse más cerca de lo que parece”, an exhibition that shows part of the Puerto Vallarta’s history through out cultural events that have happened in the last 104 years.
Curators of the exhibition are Pilar Pérez, Sayuri Sánchez, María José Zorrilla, Fernando Sánchez, Arturo Dávila, Oscar Morán, Richard Di Via, Lupita Basulto, Paola Cortés, Tania Mancha, Ireri Topete, Davis Birks, Adriana Romero Ronstadt and Moisés Hernández López.
One of the main objectives of “Retrovisor: La historia puede verse más cerca de lo que parece” is to rescue part of the valuable historical and cultural past of our destination. Given the lack of a historical archive for this city, this exhibition becomes relevant by allowing chronicles to be preserved. During the exhibition, these chronicles could be expanded.
Authors who will be participating with texts are Edmundo Andrade, Félix Fernando Baños, Enrique Barrios, Deborah Bravo, Marco Antonio Cortés Guardado, Arturo Dávila, Richard Di Via, Alberto Fabián, Joaquín Humberto Famanía, Gustavo Fernández, Alan George, Tania Mancha, Oscar Morán, Karla Moreno, Daniel Oliveros, Francisco Quezada Fernández, Joao Rodríguez, Fernando Sánchez, Gabriela Scartascini, Jorge Souza Jauffred, Gary Thompson and Sergio Toledano.
Every year, the OPC organizes an exhibition dedicated to Puerto Vallarta with the aim of celebrating its anniversary. This exhibition has the support of the Puerto Vallarta Government and the PV Shares Foundation.
