The program for the 2023 Puerto Vallarta International Film Festival (FICPV), which will be held from June 8th to 11th in different venues around our destination, was presented.

Organized by the Centro Universitario de la Costa (CUCosta), the FICPV is an extension of the Guadalajara International Film Festival, organized by the Universidad de Guadalajara (UdeG).

La Pecera (2023), directed by Glorimar Marrero-Sánchez, will be the opening film of this year’s edition. The film La Mujer de Benjamín (1991) will also be screened, as well as Redes: Juegos de la Vida (2023), with the presence of its director César Aréchiga. There will also be a tribute to the actress Arcelia Ramírez, who will receive the Iguana Dorada, the event’s highest award.

The closing ceremony of this edition will feature the film Martínez (2023), with the presence of director Lorena Padilla and actress Martha Claudia Moreno.

The FICPV, in collaboration with the Fundación Universidad de Guadalajara A.C., announces that a gala will be held to benefit the Centro Cultural Biblioteca Los Mangos, with the aim of showing solidarity with civil organizations and offering an alternative way of raising funds through a total donation at the box office. The film will be Almamula (2023), with the presence of its director, Juan Sebastián Torales.

On the other hand, the film Kenya (2022) will come to Puerto Vallarta as part of the tenth edition of the Premio Maguey, where director Gisela Delgadillo will be the special guest. There will also be a screening of El Castillo (2023), with the presence of its director Martín Benchimol.

As part of this event, the 3rd edition of El Mar en Corto will be held, a space where the talent of Vallarta will have the opportunity to express their ideas in a creative way through the seventh art.

“Among other things, Vallarta Lifestyles stands out for its strong presence throughout our destination, from five stars hotels to brand new condominiums, where they finally find the type of clients that we look for. For all of us is very important to be in print media to strengthen our advertising strategy and this magazine is essential to achieve it.”

“Advertising in Vallarta Lifestyles has been one of the best decisions we have made for the benefit of our business, because it has always helped us reach our prospects accurately. The magazine’s distribution throughout the destination is unique and strategic, as it reaches readers who are the type of clients we are looking for.”

“There are lots of reasons why we have advertised in Vallarta Lifestyles for several years. One of them is that they know pretty well their target, because they know who are their readers and they adapt as much as possible the content and material that is offered. For these reasons they have a growing number of readers which is very important for us. Another reason is that many people  —including us— think that the magazine has been as a serious publication since its beginnings. Historically, Vallarta Lifestyles has known how to capture the audience and has done it pretty well."
