Puerto Vallarta continues to consolidate its position as one of the world’s most sought-after destinations. A series of prestigious awards received throughout 2024 confirms this, with each accolade reflecting the excellence, diversity and allure that this paradise offers its visitors.

Leading the way at the Travvy Awards
In the recent tenth edition of the Travvy Awards, Puerto Vallarta stood out by winning four awards: Best Destination in Mexico, Best Culinary Destination in Mexico, Best Honeymoon Destination in Mexico and Best Tourism Office in Mexico.

Organized by TravelPulse and AGENTatHOME, the Travvy Awards are considered the gold standard in the US travel industry. Held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the ceremony brought together over 500 industry professionals to celebrate the excellence and diversity of travel destinations.

Recognition at Meetings & Events 2024
The meetings industry also honored Puerto Vallarta during the presentation of the “Medals of Excellence in Meetings and Events 2024”. The destination received awards in the Beach Destination and DMO (Destination Marketing Organization) categories.

These medals are particularly significant as they are awarded by conference organizers and tourism service providers, underlining the destination’s ability to host world-class events. The gala dinner, organized by the magazine Convenciones Latinoamérica, marked the 25th anniversary of this celebration of quality.

An Icon at the Magellan Awards
Puerto Vallarta also shone at the Magellan Awards, organized by Travel Weekly, where it won two gold medals: recognition for having the most attractive gay district in Latin America and for its promotional video Puerto Vallarta: Pacific & Wild.
