Puerto Vallarta: Best place to retire in Mexico according to U.S.News
It is not a secret that Mexico has beautiful travel destinations, featuring beaches, historic attractions, archeological sites and one of the most extensive and delicious cuisines in the world. Our country is also known for being an affordable paradise for people retired from the United States and Canada due to its weather, natural beauty, proximity and air connection to cities in both neighboring nations, as well as a low living cost. Early this week, the American online news source U.S.News published a special feature The 8 Best Places to Retire in Mexico, and Puerto Vallarta was appointed number one.
“In Puerto Vallarta, the warm weather and picturesque location are enhanced by the colonial charm of cobblestone streets and Spanish architecture. Locals are fun and friendly, the seafood is fresh and delicious and this region of Mexico is the birthplace of Tequila. In other words, Puerto Vallarta has all the elements of a party just waiting to happen,” the article mentions.
The rest of the Mexican cities by order of appearance are: Tulum (Quintana Roo), San Miguel de Allende (Guanajuato), Mexico City, Guanajuato (Guanajuato), Barra de Navidad (Jalisco), San Cristobal de las Casas (Chiapas) and Morelia (Michoacán).
