Puerto Vallarta International Airport Receives ACI Health Accreditation
The 12 airports that GAP (Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, in Spanish) operates in this region of Mexico (including Puerto Vallarta) have been certified with the Airport Health Accreditation (AHA) given by the Airports Council International (ACI).
In this way, travelers using the Puerto Vallarta International Airport can be confident that this place is prioritizing passengers’ and staff members’ health and safety in standardized ways.
The AHA measurements used in this program are aligned with the ACI aviation business restart and recovery guidelines, as well as the ICAO Council (a United Nations specialized agency) and health protocols of the European Aviation Safety Agency and the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
Aspects assessed during the AHA accreditation process include strict cleaning and disinfection practices, the promotion of physical distancing by altering the layout of staff and passenger facilities, protection of personnel and communication with passengers.
