The 1st Annual Puerto Vallarta Mango Festival, an event that will celebrate the mango -the king of tropical fruits-, will be held this Saturday, July 1, at Plaza Lazaro Cardenas from 4:00pm to 9:00pm.

Attendees will enjoy various dishes of mangoes provided by local restaurants and vendors, as well as music and entertainment, starting at 4:00pm with the Huicholes Family (Native Folklore), followed by Doris Jauregui (Soft Latin Music) at 5pm, Los polvitos (youth Mariachi) at 6:00pm, Xiutla Folkloric Ballet at 7:00pm and Tequila Rush (Classic Rock) at 8:00pm.

The goal of this Mango Festival in Puerto Vallarta is to heighten the appreciation for what can be done with mangoes, like delicious dishes and desserts. The Mexican mango season starts in the spring and lasts until the beginning of September.

Participating sponsors include Bar La Playa, El Torito, India Gate, La Nieveria, La Saranderia, Mango’s Beach Club, Mar y Tierra, Mariscos Tino’s, Mr. Boli, Muelle 7, Murphy’s Irish Pub, Nacho Daddy, Pajaritos, PV Cupcakes, Rey Del Aguachile, Sapori di Sicilia, Taberna Los 3 Hombres, Vallarta Botanical Garden and Veggie Table.

The festival is sponsored by the Jay Sadler Project with the support of Highland Park, Illinois, Sister Cities Foundation, StratosMedia, The Municipal of Puerto Vallarta, DIF, Culture and Tourism Department. “Vallarta Lifestyles is really well positioned. We are aware of that because we have seen people who arrive to our jewelry with the issue or the advertising in hand asking about the product that is featured there. This dynamic is really interesting for us and makes us glad.”

“When I first opened my gallery in 1986, my relationship with Vallarta Lifestyles started for the need of people to know me and, because it is one of the very few quality publications in the destination, I decided to advertise in it. There are clients that still remember me for the magazine, with whom I have had several years of relationship.”

“We started to advertise in Vallarta Lifestyles because since its beginnings and to date it keeps using modern technological equipment to produce it and it is possible to notice that in the quality of the magazine, which offers interesting topics about the life of our destination through its articles and interviews to well known personalities. Actually, I keep a collection in my personal library.”
