On the corner of Allende and Guadalupe Sánchez streets is Galería Colectika, a venue open since 2013 whose works are based on the “contemporary ancestral” style, with artists from Oaxaca, Michoacán, Jalisco and Nayarit.

To project this style to the exterior, in 2018 artist Adrian Takano (@art_takano) developed a spectacular mural that covers this art gallery’s facades, where you can see animals and representative elements of Mexico’s ancestral traditions and cultures.

Originally from Mexico City, Takano has made a name for himself as an artist and painting teacher during his years of living in Puerto Vallarta. When he paints, his natural talent can be observed, full of confidence, relaxation and warmth.
