PV Prepares to Welcome Thousands of Visitors During Summer

Puerto Vallarta is gearing up for an intense summer season. Thanks to improved land and air connectivity, the destination expects to welcome thousands of visitors from different regions of the country.
With hotel occupancy already around 75 percent and expectations of reaching 100 percent on weekends, Puerto Vallarta reasserts itself as a vibrant destination, ready to receive those seeking relaxation, flavor, and unforgettable experiences this summer.
On one hand, the highway to Puerto Vallarta has been key in reducing travel times from Guadalajara to just three hours, and up to two hours less from cities in El Bajío such as León.
In terms of air travel, connectivity has been strengthened with San Luis Potosí, Aguascalientes, Zacatecas, Durango, and Chihuahua, facilitating the arrival of visitors from these areas.
Beyond traditional sun and beach tourism, Puerto Vallarta has diversified its offerings with proposals that include mountain tours, visits to nearby magical towns, and adventure tourism experiences. Today, more and more travelers are seeking contact with nature, authenticity, and local flavors.
Gastronomy has gained special prominence in recent years, becoming one of the destination’s main attractions. Neighborhoods like Versalles, El Centro, and Zona Romántica stand out for their signature cuisines, artisan bakeries, and innovative culinary proposals led by a new generation of chefs.
With the dynamism of a constantly evolving city and the charm of a port with a traditional soul, Puerto Vallarta solidifies its position as one of Mexico’s most comprehensive tourist destinations.
