PV Shines as One of Mexico’s Premier Cruise Ports
Puerto Vallarta continues to be one of the most popular destinations for cruise passengers traveling along the Mexican Riviera. During the first half of 2024, our city welcomed 285,635 cruise passengers, a remarkable increase of 13.8 percent compared to the same period in 2019.
According to the National Port System Administration (ASIPONA), a total of 94 cruises docked in Puerto Vallarta between January and June, with January being the busiest month with 72,889 passengers disembarking.
Renowned companies such as Princess Cruises, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Vidanta Cruises, Windstar Cruises, Disney Cruise Line, Celebrity X Cruises, Holland America Line, Oceania Cruises, Viking River Cruises, and Norwegian Cruise Line, among others, have included Puerto Vallarta in their itineraries, taking advantage of the available berths that can accommodate three high-specification cruise ships simultaneously.
Puerto Vallarta stands out not only for its strategic location and modern infrastructure, but also for its diverse tourist attractions, safety and the warmth of its people. These qualities have solidified this destination as one of the most important cruise ports in Mexico.
