“Sancho”: The New Production of Circo de los Niños
“Sancho” is the name of the new production that is prepared for the 8º edition of Circo de los Niños, taking place from March 18th to 21st, at 7:30pm in Bodega Circo at Av. Tercer Mundo 15, San Pancho, the “Cultural Heart of Riviera Nayarit”.
One of the main objectives of this annual performance is supporting, precisely, the Circo de los Niños, a scenic arts school for the youth of the area, founded in 2011 by Gilles Ste-Croix, co-founder of Cirque Du Soleil, along with his wife Monique Voyer.
For the creation of “Sancho”, its organizers took inspiration from the book The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha, of the writer Miguel de Cervantes, where they focused on Sancho Panza and with a little bit of imagination, they turned his story into one full of acrobacies, music and color telling the possible adventures that this character could have accomplished after Don Quixote’s death.
The presale of tickets to enjoy this family show has just started and the general price is $600 pesos per person. In fact, there is another admission sponsorship level, called “Dreamcatcher”, for $2,500 pesos per person, that includes preferred seating and it helps to scholarship some of the members of the school with economic limitations.
