Handicrafts, organic products, home-cooked food, jewelry, pottery, locally-designed clothes and  accessories are some of the things you can purchase at local tianguis or farmers’ markets. Most of these lively, outdoor commercial areas are open for the winter-spring season, which runs from November to the end of April or the beginning of May.

Farmers’ markets in Banderas Bay have become great attractions as they feature shopping, dining, and activities such as yoga classes and live music. There are over ten of these in Riviera Nayarit alone.

Check out the list below:

Nuevo Vallarta

  • Riviera Nayarit Farmers’ Market takes place every Tuesday from 9 am – 2 pm in the parking lot at the Business Center.
  • The Tianguis Artesanal Nuevo Vallarta is held every Saturday at the Marina Nuevo Vallarta with the same opening hours.

In Bucerías, there are three farmers’ markets that take place on Lázaro Cárdenas street:

  • The Monday Market from 9 am – 1 pm.

La Cruz de Huanacaxtle

  • La Cruz Sunday Market graces Marina Riviera Nayarit on Sundays from 10 am – 2 pm.
