The XVII Madonnari Festival 2025 in Puerto Vallarta

Downtown Puerto Vallarta will be transformed into an impressive open-air canvas with the arrival of the XVII Madonnari Festival Puerto Vallarta 2025, an ephemeral art event that captivates residents and visitors alike. From February 14th to 16th, 2025, the Plaza de Armas will be the venue for this cultural celebration where talented artists will express their creativity on the ground with colored chalk.

For 16 years, this festival has not only served to strengthen art and culture in our destination but has also been a bridge of partnership with the city of Santa Barbara, California. Thanks to this bond, the event has the support of the municipal government and the organizing committee of the sister city, promoting an enriching artistic exchange.

Categories and Prizes
The Madonnari Festival 2025 opens its doors to artists of all ages with different categories: children, juniors, youth and adults. A Santa Barbara-based jury specialized in the Madonnari technique will judge the works according to composition, color and depth.

The spaces assigned to the artists vary in size: 3×3 meters for adults, 2×2 meters for those who prefer it, and 1.5×1.5 meters for the little ones. Participants will be provided with the necessary materials to bring their creations to life, ensuring an accessible and memorable artistic experience.

The big incentive for the participants is the opportunity to represent Puerto Vallarta at the Madonnari Festival 2025 in Santa Barbara, California. In addition, cash prizes will be awarded to the winners of the different categories.
