In the Romantic Zone of Puerto Vallarta, just a few blocks from the iconic Los Muertos Beach, lies Lázaro Cárdenas Park, a public square that has become one of the city’s most vibrant landmarks.

In 2017, Mexican-American artist Natasha Moraga initiated this ambitious project to revitalize the park with intricate mosaics and bursts of color.

Through Mosayko Vallarta, her initiative that promotes citizen participation in the creation of public art, the benches, planters, walls, and pillars were carefully adorned with hand-placed tiles, many of them bearing personal dedications, names, and heartfelt messages. These mosaics tell thousands of individual stories—of love, loss, joy, and connection—woven right here in Puerto Vallarta.

This park, now a meeting point for residents and visitors alike, stands as a shining example of what can happen when art and community intersect.

The Tile Park is truly a testament to the creative spirit and the collective heart of Puerto Vallarta.
