Uber Arrives in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit

The ride-sharing service Uber is now available in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit, starting operations June 27 at 8:00 am. Uber is essentially a car-for-hire service that connects drivers and passengers through a smartphone app that uses GPS technology to track both the user and the driver.

How does Uber work?

The passenger calls for a car using the Uber app. Then the nearest available Uber driver is called to the passenger’s location, taking the passenger to their destination.

The app gives a price estimate for the ride and the passenger can pay both in cash or automatically via a debit card which is linked to the app.

Uber is known for its’ lower fees (up to 50% discount), quality standards (drivers are required to perform ongoing maintenance to the cars and offer value added service and products to the passengers), as well as evident convenience.
