During the first four months of 2025, Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit will host an impressive lineup of international sporting and recreational events, attracting athletes, fans, and visitors from around the world.

January 2025
Tierra Tropical will host the 6th Coco Copa de Polo 2025 on Saturday, January 25th. This charity event will support Operation Smile México A.C., offering an exciting day of polo, an exquisite dinner, a silent auction, raffles, live music, and many surprises—all with the goal of transforming lives through smiles.

The Campeonato Internacional Charro returns from January 30th to February 2nd, featuring 35 teams of charros and escaramuzas from Mexico and the United States. This traditional event will celebrate the skill and passion of charrería, a sport recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

February 2025
From February 6 to 9 and February 13 to 16, Puerto Vallarta will host the 9th Puerto Vallarta College Challenge (the university softball tournament held outside the United States), bringing together the top 10 teams in the sport.

Next, from February 22nd to 25th, Vidanta Vallarta will be the venue for one of the most important PGA Tour golf tournaments: Mexico Open at Vidanta. With a purse of 8.1 million USD and 500 FedEx points for the winner, this sporting event will attract the world’s best golfers, including Latin American talents.

From February 21st to 23rd, the “Agustín Flores Contreras” Sports Complex will host the Circuito de Atletismo (athletics circuit), welcoming over 400 athletes from different states to compete in various categories. This event is endorsed by the Jalisco Association of Athletic Clubs and the Mexican Federation of Athletics Associations.

March 2025
The Ruta Turística Puerto Vallarta 2025 will celebrate its seventh edition with three different course distances: 21K, 72K, and 100K. Starting and finishing at the Maritime Terminal, cyclists will enjoy breathtaking coastal landscapes as they push their limits.

April 2025
With a renewed course, the Maratón Puerto Vallarta 2025 will celebrate its sixth edition with race distances of 42K, 21K, 10K, and 5K. The start and finish lines will be at Puerto Mágico, and the event will include a public expo, providing a comprehensive experience for participants.

With these seven events taking place from January to April 2025, Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit strengthen their reputation as ideal destinations for both international athletes and enthusiasts seeking an immersive experience.
