Vallarta Welcomes Celebrated International Artist

Internationally recognized mixed-media artist, Stan Olthuis is being introduced to Puerto Vallarta by Galeria Uno. The gallery currently has his works on display. Among recent accolades, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and International Corporate Art commissioned Olthuis to create a major painting for their permanent collection aboard the new ship, Anthem of the Seas. That piece, Joie de Vivre, was selected as one of 50 from 3000 pieces around the world to be celebrated in What Makes Life Worth Living, a published corporate collection catalogue.

Olthuis’ paintings pull you into his world where energy, gesture, textures and story overlap and change while you observe. Represented in Canada, Japan and Mexico his art is collected privately and corporately in numerous countries. Olthuis had a solo exhibition, ‘Unfolding,’ at Salón Galeria Atelier, Guadalajara in July, 2015. He is a new resident of Vallarta.
