VI Coco Copa de Polo: A Tournament of Emotion and Generosity

On January 24th and 25th, 2025, the Tierra Tropical Polo Club became the epicenter of excitement and solidarity with the sixth edition of the Coco Copa de Polo. This event not only brought together talented players on the field, but also made an impressive social impact by raising nearly 850,000 MXN, which will fund more than 50 reconstructive surgeries through Operation Smile México.

High-Level Competition

Four teams faced off in a series of exciting matches that kept the crowd on the edge of their seats:

• La Perla:

Joel Acosta, Adrián García, Saúl Acosta, and Gabriela Gómez.

• Smile Polo Team:

Basilio Ángulo, Max Chávez, Agustín Colina, and Pablo de la Madrid / Majo Aguilera.

• La Puesta:

Ladis Lao García, Adrián García, Nick Fernández, and Jason Reilly.

• Surfing Cowboys:

Roberto González Gracida, Argenes Vázquez / Juan Carlos García, Horacio García, and Daniel Nava.

Friday’s matches provided great moments with Smile defeating La Puesta 8-7 and La Perla securing a 7-6 win over Surfing Cowboys. On Saturday, La Puesta took third place with an 8-5 win over Surfing Cowboys, while the final was dominated by La Perla, who was crowned champion after a stunning 11-4 win over Smile.

Beyond the Sport

The Coco Copa de Polo is not only a high-level sporting event, but also an opportunity to change lives. At the closing dinner, attendees witnessed moving stories that reflected the direct impact of their support.
