4º Vallarta Surfcasting Tournament Announced

On May 30th, 2021, fishermen of our destination will have the opportunity to participate in the 4th Vallarta Surfcasting Tournament, which will take place at Dorada Beach, better known as the Malecón beach.

The competition will start at 7:00am and conclude at 2:00pm. There is a 200-pesos-registration, and all participants must register on the competition’s day at 6:00am, at Los Arcos del Malecón in Puerto Vallarta.

The organization in charge of William Casillas and Sergio Gutiérrez reported that in this year’s edition there will be no category of fish (except those that are protected by current laws) and they must immediately be released. The minimum weight to present species will be one kilogram.

Fishing area will be from where the Malecón starts (next to Hotel Rosita), to the Cuates y Cuetes restaurant (located before reaching Los Muertos Beach Pier).

Finally, while the prize for the first place will be 10,000 pesos, the second and third place will be awarded with fishing articles.
