The Annual Jewish Passover Seder at the River Café
The Jewish Community in Puerto Vallarta will celebrate its traditional Passover Seder this coming Monday, April 10, starting 6:00pm at the River Café on the Isla Río Cuale.
The dinner will consist of a Kosher menu, including Gefilte fish, Matzo Ball soup, brisket, roasted chicken, roasted herb potatoes, steamed mixed vegetables, homemade sorbet and fresh fruit, as well as coffee, tea and wine.
The Passover Seder is a yearly Jewish ritual feast marking the beginning of the Jewish holiday of Passover, where they commemorate the Exodus – their liberation by God and Moses from slavery in Egypt and their freedom as a nation. Some of the traditional Seder customs include telling the story, drinking four cups of wine, partaking of symbolic foods placed on the Passover Seder Plate and reclining in celebration of freedom.
Menu prices for this year’s Passover Seder will be $800 MXN for adults and $400 MXN for kids (gratuity included). Reservation with pre-payment is requested. Methods of payment: Paypal with the River Café, deliver cash payment with your name, number of people in your party and contact information in an envelope to the River Café or Western Union.
