Air Connectivity between Jalisco and the United States is Gradually Reactivated
Recently, the Jalisco Ministry of Tourism, the Guadalajara Conventions and Visitors Bureau and the Volaris airline, reported the incorporation of international routes on July, which corresponds, compared to last month, to an increase in 67 percent of flights to Jalisco.
Starting on July 1st, 2020, the reopened flights between Jalisco and the United States are:
- Guadalajara – Charlotte
- Guadalajara – Las Vegas
- Guadalajara – San Antonio
These flights are added to the existing routes to Chicago Midway, Chicago O’Hare, Denver, Fresno, Houston, Los Angeles, Oakland, Ontario-California, Portland, Sacramento, San Jose-California and Seattle.
During 2019, the Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta international airports mobilized around 20 million passengers. For this reason, the reactivation of this sector is pretty important to the state’s economy.
For users and staff safety, both airports have implemented international sanitary protocols such as temperature control points, sanitation areas and even air transportation by helicopter in case a medical emergency occurs.
