Local Chefs Celebrate First Puerto Vallarta’s Centennial
This past weekend, the restaurant Tintoque hosted a special 9-course dinner, commemorating the first centennial of Puerto Vallarta. Head chef, Joel Ornelas, was accompanied by some of the most outstanding chefs in the city, including Thierry Blouet (Café des Artistes), Memo Wulff (Barrio Bistro), Hugo Ahumada (La Patrona Polo & Equestrian Club), Ulf Henriksson (Trio Mediterranean and Vitea Oceanfront Bistro), Armando Gutierrez (Punta Mercedes), Jesús Vázquez (Loma 42), Leopoldo Cortés and Christian Paul Frías O’Connor (both from Grand Fiesta Americana), as well as cooks from the restaurant La Leche Almacén Gourmet.
Each of these exponents of the cuisine of the bay, was in charge of a course, delighting the palates of the diners with their unique creations. By his part, Riviera Nayarit’s mixology ambassador, Israel Díaz, served innovative, one-of-a-kind cocktails during the evening.
